  41.        Player.

  43.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  44.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  45.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  46.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  47.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  48.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  49.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  51.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to
  52.               the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information

  84.        2.3  _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n__M_e_t_h_o_d

  86.        All of the subsystems for Cosmo Player can be installed on
  87.        an active system.  However, after installing some patches,
  88.        you will be required to reboot your system.  Refer to the
  89.        _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation
  90.        instructions.

  92.        Note:  Make sure that you quit and restart Netscape after
  93.               you install Cosmo Player, or Netscape may crash, and
  94.               Netscape also may not recognize the new plugin.  If
  95.               Netscape still does not recognize Cosmo Player after
  96.               exiting all Netscape windows and restarting, double-
  97.               check that Netscape's MIME types are correctly
  98.               configured for VRML (Go to "Options > General
  99.               Preferences > Helpers").

  101.        Note:  You need to add /usr/CosmoPlayer/classes to your
  102.               CLASSPATH in order for the External Authoring
  103.               Interface support to work.  An example of doing this
  104.               would be to add the following lines to your .login
  105.               file:

  112.               environment variable before running netscape in order
  113.               for VRML Text font rendering to render special
  114.               characters properly (e.g. Kanji).
